On Monday, June 2, 2025, PLTgolf was honored to sponsor the 3rd Annual Carts for Kids Golf Classic, hosted by the WCN Cares Foundation. Held in support of Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital and other vital nonprofits in the area, this event brought together community members, corporate partners, and golf enthusiasts for a powerful purpose: helping children receive the care and support they deserve.
Carts for Kids is a remarkable initiative born out of a partnership between Waste Connections and MultiCare Health System, aimed at transforming everyday community engagement—like recycling—into a force for good. Through this ongoing program, residents in participating service areas (Murrey’s Disposal, LeMay Pierce County Refuse, LeMay Centralia, and LeMay Pacific Disposal) can opt to receive a special purple recycling cart in exchange for a charitable donation. All proceeds directly benefit Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital.
The Golf Classic is an extension of this mission, turning a day on the green into a life-changing fundraiser. With the support of generous sponsors, vendors, and local golfers, the tournament raises essential funds for pediatric care, allowing Mary Bridge to continue offering critical medical services to families—regardless of their ability to pay.
